This Weekend the Apple Festival is Back!!

We were driving through Ellijay this morning and passed the fairgrounds –all ready for another weekend of Apple Festival. If you didn’t get to the festival last weekend, you still have this weekend to go!
Ellijay has lots to offer, but it is really famous for North Georgia’s apples (which are fantastic!) Every October, the Apple Festival offers the opportunity to visit all of Ellijay’s orchards along with lots of festival fun. This year is the 40th year of the festival, and it looks like it is even bigger and better.
There are over 300 vendors at the fairgrounds with handmade, hand-crafted items, as well as many on-site demonstrations of how selected types of crafts are made. Of course the Apple Festival parade is on Saturday (October 15th) starting at 10 a.m.
