The Gilmer Public Library in Ellijay, R.T. Jones Library in Canton and the Pickens County Library in Jasper are all sponsoring “The Festival of Trees,” a special celebration for Christmas.

At R.T. Jones Memorial Library in Canton, the festival will start on November 22nd, when forty-five trees will be displayed. Each tree is uniquely decorated by local church groups, businesses, civic groups, clubs and families. All of the trees will be displayed throughout the library.

On November 28th beginning at 6 pm, you can visit the Gilmer County Library in Ellijay and enjoy a night of holiday festivities. Enjoy beautiful Christmas trees, seasonal music, refreshments and a craft for the children, although everyone is invited.

Also on November 28th beginning at 6 pm, children of all ages are invited to begin the holiday season with a special Christmas story time and craft at the Pickens County Library in Jasper. This story time will be followed with traditional and not-so-traditional holiday music!
